Technical Details

The art facade consists of 76 individual panels (74x92cm or 29x32 inch) which can be controlled via internet by clicking the mouse. Behind each panel there are high voltage, neon tubes in red, blue and green. A specially developed gas contained in the tubes makes it possible to mix the colors and create spectral colors. The surfaces do not flicker and an even color is distibuted over each complete panel. The panels were constructed by Neon Härter, Munich

The artist commands a pallet of nearly unlimited color combinations with which he/she can fashion each panel. Using a scroll bar the artist can define the desired level of brightness and color intensity. Thanks to the special technology, mobile, flowing works of art can also be realized. The artist can determine at which time intervals the colored surface on any given panel should be changed. The artist can also decide whether the transition should be hard or soft.
This tool was created with the cooperation of ipc (Software) located in Munich.
